Chester BID launches a week-long spring clean effort in anticipation of city’s re-opening

Chester city centre is being spruced up prior to re-opening thanks to the efforts of the city’s Business Improvement District, Chester BID who are set to clean hundreds of metres of the city.

Businesses will have their shop fronts cleaned and key tourist attractions including parts of Chester Rows and the area around the Eastgate Clock are set to be deep cleaned.

The clean-up has become an annual event thanks to Chester BID, as part of an ongoing effort to keep the city centre looking attractive and welcoming to visitors. This year the city has made an extra effort cleaning shop fronts, deep-cleaning key touchpoints and areas of high footfall in and around the city businesses.

Carl Critchlow, BID Manager said: ‘As we re-open to all our residents and visitors, we want everyone to feel safe and welcome in Chester. This clean-up has become especially important during the pandemic in reassuring everyone that Chester is clean, open and ready for visitors.’
