Chester Businesses Raise Funds for Australian Bushfire Victims

Chester Businesses Raise Funds for Australian Bushfire Victims

Australia is being devastated by some of the most dangerous and catastrophic fires they have ever seen.

Although there is some 10,000 miles between Chester and Australia, city centre businesses are doing their part to support the response, recovery and restoration teams so they can offer relief where it is needed. You can do your part too!

Locally owned sister restaurants Urbano32 and BurgerShed41 are donating £1 from every special burger or pizza sold (ends 26th Jan).

The Chef’s Table will spend the next month raising funds for @zoosvictoria Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund. They are adding an optional £1 to every bill and are donating £2 for every bottle of @delinquentewinco sold. Their team is doing additional fundraising outside of the restaurant with an overall goal of reaching £1000 raised.

The Flower Cup on Watergate Row has created an “Aussie Burger” with £1 from every burger going to a koala charity, chosen by team member Jess who is a native Australian herself (offer ends 23rd Jan). If you missed the burger offer you can still support the fundraising efforts by purchasing an A4 Koala print for £10 with all proceeds going to @wireswildliferescue.

Children’s toy store, Weasel & The Bug on Watergate Street is donating profits from the sale of Koala and Kanagaroo Lanka Kade figures to support victims.
