Chester Indoor market is setting out its stall for a long and prosperous future.

Chester Market has traded for more than 100 years and was located next to the iconic Town Hall building before moving into the Chester Indoor Market in 1967, with 100 stalls.

Please read the guest blog from Karen Bates, Chester Market Manager for everything you need to know about Chester Market.

The Indoor Market has evolved and many of the traders through the years have traditionally passed their business on to family members, meaning their wealth of knowledge and products offered remains. The traditional market has rejuvenated its offering to what customers want and more!

There is a fantastic range of products available at the market, from gifts and crafts to antique jewellery, cards and wrapping paper to party gifts, fashion to fancy dress for those special occasions.

There`s a baby wear stall which includes hand knitted items, cake making products & decorations, an engraving and key cutting service, haberdashery, a fantastic array of jigsaws and a mobile phone repair service with the latest mobile accessories

There are a walk-in barbers and a choice of two nail bars which offer that personal touch; beauty products and perfume gift sets – lower than high street prices. The hardware shop is run by one of the longest trading families offering niche products.

In addition, there is a bedroom furniture shop offering affordable prices; Electrical goods and vacuums, medals and memorabilia (a Collectors paradise).

The expert butchers cater for that something special from award winning sausages, to healthy living packs and game, and not least of all, the traditional Christmas Turkey. A collection service is available.

A compliment of cheese and chutneys and a wide selection of cold meats, fresh fruit and vegetables are on offer daily and the market has its very own fishmongers, (the only fishmonger in the City Centre), where customers can choose the catch of the day!

The latest editions to the Market include street food by Nice Bites, (previous chef at Moules A Go Go) their loss, our gain; P.S I love cake for your freshly baked cupcakes, Cheesecakes and cream teas, Mike`s jewellery that offers costume jewellery, fairy gardens and trinkets;  Bookingham Palace offering a vast collection of books and Vinyl`s; Chris` Bazaar offering collector`s items and last but not least Extend & Perfect offering hair extensions and hair styling for those special dates.
