Clogau has sponsored a 15-foot tree placed by the Bars roundabout as a Christmas gift to Chester’s visitors and residents
Popular city centre retailer, Clogau, are supporting Chester’s Christmas by sponsoring a glittering 15-foot Christmas tree placed at a key gateway into the city. The tree, covered in twinkling lights, is situated by the Bars Roundabout, at a major gateway into the city both by cars from the ring road and pedestrians walking from the railway station.
Ben Roberts, Managing Director at Clogau, said: “Having a store on Foregate Street, we love being part of the Chester community and are especially delighted to sponsor Chester’s Christmas tree this year.
“Looking back at last Christmas and the memories we lost with our nearest and dearest, I can’t wait to see many pictures of people gathered around the tree with their loved ones this festive season.”
Emily Ghazarian, marketing and events manager, Chester BID, oversaw the tree sponsorship. She said: ‘We are so grateful to Clogau for their support in bringing a more festive feel to the city. They are one of our many retailers who pro-actively work to make Chester such a wonderful Christmas destination.
‘Visitors choose Chester as the destination to buy a ‘special piece’. We have a long history, back to Medieval times of making beautiful objects –Chester even carries its own purity mark on silver – three wheatsheaves and a sword!’.
Jewellery brand Clogau have been active in supporting Chester throughout the pandemic period, raising a massive £251,000 in 2020 with £211,000 going to the NHS Charities Together and the difference going to additional charities.
