Chester Literature Festival – the city’s annual celebration of literature, poetry and more!

A fortnight of talks, performance and workshops celebrating the written and spoken word. Among those who are involved in this year’s LitFest are gardener Monty Don, Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, historian Professor David Olusoga, chef and broadcaster Andi Oliver and bestselling author Joanne Harris

This year’s festival takes place from 9 – 26 November and will see Storyhouse filled with 18 days of talks, workshops, performance and events for all ages, interests and passions.

This autumn’s line-up will see a wide-ranging programme packed with special guests from the world of literature, poetry, stage and screen.
