Mothers Day Afternoon Tea Cruise with ChesterBoat

March 31

Make Mothering Sunday extra-special this year, with a two-hour, family-friendly cruise along Chester’s beautiful River Dee. The Lady Diana will be dressed in her Sunday best and we’ll serve a delicious afternoon tea as we sail out into the Cheshire countryside and through the Duke of Westminster’s estate.

Enjoy a glass of Prosecco on arrival (squash for the children), then a vintage-style tea, prepared by our friends at King’s Acre Cupcakes. Freshly-made finger sandwiches; home-made fruit scones with jam and cream (of course!); an assortment of refreshing teas and a tempting array of deliciously dainty home-made cakes.

This cruise is quite superb: an extension of our city cruise up the beautiful River Dee, sailing through some of the most attractive parts of rural Cheshire. We pass Heron Bridge and Eccleston Ferry, meander around the Crook of Dee and sail through beautiful, tranquil scenery of the Eaton Estate. Aldford is next, then the Duke’s Iron Bridge, before we return to Chester. There may be excellent opportunities to see and photograph wildlife, including, Swans, Wildfowl, Cormorants and even Kingfishers. And whatever the weather, you’ll be warm and cosy in our fully heated boat.

Sunday 31st March 2019:  12:00 Noon or 3:00 pm Sailing from moorings at The Groves (Near Hickories), River Dee.
