Whether it’s a first date or an opportunity to do something fun with family and friends, Chester’s Valentine’s Day Trail showcases Britain’s ‘City of Love’ and the romantic places and shops at the heart of this historic and picturesque city.
We want to feel the love – so if you upload a selfie from anywhere along the trail with the hashtag #LoveInChester by midnight on Sunday 16th February, you and your loved ones (romantic partner, family members or just the dog) will be in the draw to win the special prize of an Edwardian gold heart locket and chain plus a Sweetheart Mizpah Brooch.
The prize has been kindly provided by Chester’s oldest jewellers and one of the oldest in the country, Lowe & Sons, specialists in antique fine jewellery and silverware. Based at its historic Grade II-listed Bridge Street premises, this year the business celebrates its 250th anniversary. The historic shop will also be displaying beautiful Edwardian Valentine’s Day cards from Chester’s Grosvenor Museum, in the shop window and upstairs in their own museum.
