Guests will enjoy an upgrade to their stay with a £200,000 refurbishment
The Holiday Inn Express at Chester Racecourse has undergone an impressive £200,000 refurbishment of the bar and lounge areas that is set to improve the guest experience and tops off what has been a remarkable year for the hotel.
The features of the renovation will provide guests with a much-improved leisure and dining experience with new modern breakfast area, fully refurbished bar and seating, outside seating area with planters, pods for evening drink and a new air conditioning and heating system.
The refurbishment comes off the back of a record-breaking summer for the hotel that saw occupancy rates at 99.75% because of the rise in the staycation market. The refurbishments hope to continue these impressive figures and provide guests with a quality dining and beverage offer that matches that of bars and restaurants in the city centre.
Lucy Edwards, General Manager, said: “We are delighted with the refurbishment and think that is a valuable investment that will improve the hotels offer to the staycation market.
“After the disappointment of having to close for the beginning part of last year because of the pandemic, we were thrilled to see a record-breaking Summer with occupancy rates well above average at 99.75%.
“I’d like to thank all of our customers for their continued support and also the team at the hotel for their hard work. We’re looking forward to 2022 which is set to be another fantastic year.”
The hotel is a firm favourite in the city with hotel guests being able to take advantage of discounts at the racecourses’ restaurant and on-site pub for the duration of their stay. Preferential hotel rates are also available to event organisers utilising racecourse facilities.
