Small Business Open Day in Chester

Small Business Open Day in Chester

Cheshire West and Chester Council is hosting a free open day on 12 June (8.30am to 5.30pm) for small businesses employing less than 250 people across the west Cheshire area to find out about the Council’s new Business Support Project.

At the open day being held at the Obsidian Offices, Chantry Court, Chester, eligible businesses will get details about fully funded business support that is available from specialist business advisers.

Between 12noon and 2pm there will be a Marketing workshop giving businesses an opportunity to work with a business adviser to look at solutions for their marketing challenges, get some easy to implement sales and marketing tips and find out more about what platforms might work best for their business.

Councillor Richard Beacham, Cabinet Member for Housing, Regeneration and Growth said: “This is a great opportunity for small businesses to find out more about how to access all the free support the Council has on offer. Please register for the open day and be among the first to set up a meeting with one of our business advisers.”

The project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) supporting businesses through a range of activities including:

  • Workshops covering a variety of topic areas to support and grow businesses
  • One-to-one business support from specialist advisers and industry experts
  • Access to the new BREEAM Excellent (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) workspace
  • Activities within the project include creative new ways to do business, alongside ways to save money and use time more effectively.

Places are limited to no more than two people from each business and will be allocated on a first come basis.
