Since opening at the beginning of November, Chester’s New Market has now welcomed over one million visitors in under six months. Recognition from the travel industry has also highlighted the market’s contribution in revitalising the city centre and has been a key element in Chester recently being hailed as the one of the UK’s best high streets, and by National Geographic as one of the top places to visit this year.
The new market has also been shortlisted in this year’s Property Week Awards in the Placemaking category.
Following this great news , you can now enjoy North Light which is now open in Coachworks Arcade, just next door to Cosy Club. The hotly anticipated new bar-and-restaurant concept, is inspired by the creativity, history and community of Chester.
Open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, their relaxed social dining menu celebrates sharing the moment.
North Light aims to support the local community, shine a light on up- and-coming artists and champion the city’s rich history and unique creative scene, and welcoming guests to “eat, drink, work and play in a space that’s steeped in history and open to new creative possibilities”.
North Light will look to emerging regional artists to showcase their work, providing a platform for local talent, the first works on display at the venue have been selected in partnership with Modern Art Chester.
North Light takes its name from the optimal light for creativity, combined with the beautiful light from its unique glass building, the rich history of Northgate and its proud northern location.
