It’ll be party time for the whole country when the nation comes together over the Bank Holiday to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Lakeland is a cook’s paradise: jammed full of brilliant baking goodies. So it comes as no surprise to find they’ve pushed the boat out as far as the jubilee is concerned. There’s even a proper trifle bowl that’s perfect for the Platinum Pudding chosen as THE official jubilee dessert.

This gem of a card and gift shop is literally putting the flags out for the jubilee. Train fans will be itching to get their hands on Hornby’s soon-to-be released limited edition collector’s model of a locomotive in a unique purple and silver livery in honour of the jubilee. Appropriately, it’s called The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee West Country No 70, Elizabeth II.

If you can’t wait for the train, you can get your hands on one of Corgi’s Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers, the largest and most advanced warships ever built for the Royal Navy. It has a recommended retail price of £62.99 but it’s just £55 from the Chester Model Centre.
