You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy this marvellous market… but it helps

We all love a quality street market. But the street food vendors, artisan bakers, craft brewers and jewellers who will soon be descending on Chester have one special thing in common: all their products will be vegan.

The Chester Vegan Market is making a welcome return to the city, with traders offering a huge range of quality food and artisan goods that avoid exploiting animals for any purpose.

It’s taking place on Saturday 14 May, right at the heart of the city, in Chester Town Hall Square.

Wander around the stalls and you’ll find eats tailor-made for a vegan diet: food made up of plants such as vegetables, grains, nuts and fruits. Any food that comes from animals is completely off the menu, including dairy products and eggs.

And if you have an intolerance to gluten then you’ll find a number of traders will be selling vegan food that’s gluten-free, too.

People who follow a vegan lifestyle also avoid materials and products that come from or are tested on animals, so you’ll know that everything you’ll be buying, like their handmade, cruelty-free cosmetics, is ethical and sustainable.

The event is fully wheelchair accessible and well-behaved dogs (and their owners) are welcome.
